Their are many fine artist living in east Kern. There are to few places to display there works.

This area is rich in natural resources but lacks in cultural arts. FVMCA. Along with there sponsors wish to change all
of that by promoting fine and visual arts through out this vast natural back drop, that is the Mojave desert.

We intend to bring a bit of culture to the area along with a reminder of how deep this areas roots run with the film
industry.

From the early days of filming this area was ripe for film company's seeking desert wilderness locations.
Today we double as backdrops for films about the Afghanistan's war and the war in Iraq. We are with our salt flats
and pinnacles one of the most sought after areas for films from horror to commercials seeking a flat desert look.

Magazine stills are shot here on a regular basses and we have  the only space port in the country an it is  home to
numerous film and video productions.

Are natural back drops, also serve the artist community by providing scenic back drops, for many Plain air events.

Sculpture gardens such as the one we are building here, are spring up through out the high desert like the one at
the Maturango Museum in Ridgecrest.

California City is Host to the start of the first ever east Kern self Guided arts tour 2007. The city has welcomed the
event and has allowed numerous artist to display sculpture at there EDC building and the municipal airport.

The East Kern Business have gotten involved and are opening there doors to this event in hopes of changing the
business out look on cultural arts, in the region.

FVMCA. Hopes to create an atmosphere conducive to arts patrons seeking out artist for there personal collections
or just to own a piece of art for the sake of art its self.

We intend to build out door sets that will not only serve as places to stage visual arts performances but to also
double as stores for fine arts shows.

We are seeking venues through out the east Kern region to host special art events through out the year.

We are looking for old paintings, movie clips, sculpture, homes, farms, and building from the area  we can save and
restore for future generations to come.

first hand knowledge of any artist that have lived or may be still be living in the area.
